Guy Ritchie's 'Star' Premieres on bmwfilms.com

         New Short-Film Part of 'The Hire,' a Collection of Internet
           Digital Films Featuring the Movie Industry's Best Talent

    WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., June 7 "Star," a new film by
acclaimed British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, premiered today on bmwfilms.com.
Star is the fourth film from "The Hire," an unprecedented web-based
entertainment project of five original films executive produced by filmmaker
David Fincher ("Fight Club," "The Game," "Se7en") through Anonymous Content,
an LA-based multi-media entertainment company.  The project is underwritten by
BMW.
    Ritchie is best known to American audiences for his stylish, black
comedy/gangster films  "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels."
"Star" is full of Ritchie's trademark snappy dialogue, comical plot twists and
uncommon supporting characters.
    Clive Owen stars as "The Driver," who is tasked with giving a difficult
celebrity her just desserts.  Madonna stars as "The Superstar," along with
supporting characters played by Michael Beade (The Manager) and Toru Tanaka,
Jr.  (The Bodyguard).
    In addition to Star, other films in "The Hire" series include: Ambush by
John Frankenheimer ("Ronin") which debuted April 26th, Chosen by Ang Lee which
premiered May 10th,  The Follow by Wong Kar-Wai ("In the Mood for Love") which
premiered on May 24th, and Powderkeg by Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu ("Amores
Perros.") set to premiere on July 16th.  Each film stars British acting
sensation Owen ("Croupier") as The Driver whose mysterious character the
audience follows through cryptic and dangerous situations.  The films are
brilliantly cast with strong supporting characters played by: Mickey Rourke
("The Pledge"), Tomas Milian ("Traffic"), and Adriana Lima (Guess? model).
