CTS Corporation Elects Donald K. Schwanz to CTS Board of Directors

    ELKHART, Ind.--June 6, 2001--Joseph P. Walker, chairman and chief executive officer of CTS Corporation , announced today that Donald K. Schwanz has been elected to the CTS Corporation Board of Directors. Since joining CTS in January 2001 as president and chief operating officer, Mr. Schwanz has quickly become involved in all aspects of CTS operations.
    "We have been extremely pleased with Don's immediate and valuable contributions to the Company and his strong leadership abilities," said Walker. "Don is expected to play a key role in our plan for succession. His appointment to the Board will deepen his relationships with our current Board members and further prepare him for additional leadership responsibilities."
    Prior to joining CTS, Mr. Schwanz was president of the industrial control business of Honeywell, Inc. where he had financial and operating responsibility for three global business units that generated $2.8 billion in revenue. At Honeywell Mr. Schwanz had management responsibility for 16,500 employees.
    A 1966 graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Schwanz received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1968, he was awarded an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School.
    Mr. Schwanz and his wife, Mary, reside in the South Bend area.
