TRW Selects PTC's Windchill Solutions After Extensive Review Process

    NEEDHAM, Mass., June 6 PTC , the product
development company, today announced that TRW has selected PTC's Windchill
collaboration software to implement within its Automotive business, beginning
with Occupant Safety Systems.  TRW is a global leader in the automotive,
aerospace and information technology markets.  TRW's Automotive business is
one of the world's largest independent automotive suppliers.
    
    TRW selected PTC's Windchill after an extensive review process with
competitive offerings.  "We chose Windchill for its workflow capabilities and
its ability to handle application integration," said Priscilla Guthrie, vice
president of eBusiness at TRW.  "Initially we were looking for a process and
collaboration tool for engineering.  But Windchill's capabilities also offer
many opportunities to broaden our vision to include business processes
throughout our extended enterprise."

    PTC has partnered with TRW Systems, TRW's information technology group, to
support the implementation of Windchill within TRW.  Working closely with PTC,
TRW Systems will utilize the company's automotive industry expertise to ensure
a smooth integration of the Windchill product.
