Fitch Issues Presale Report On MMCA Auto Owner Trust 2001-2

    NEW YORK--June 5, 2001--Fitch has issued a presale report on MMCA Auto Owner Trust 2001-2 discussing the rating analysis behind Fitch's expected `AAA' ratings on the class A notes and `A' ratings on the class B notes. The 2001-2 transaction is Mitsubishi's tenth public term auto loan securitization, and includes both balloon and deferred payment loans as well as loans originated under the guaranteed value program. The securities are backed by a pool of prime retail installment sales contracts secured by new and used automobiles and light duty trucks.
