iVillage and Bridgestone/Firestone In Tire Safety Sponsorship Agreement

    NEW YORK--June 5, 2001--iVillage Inc., operator of the iVillage Network, which includes iVillage.com, Lamaze Publishing and the Newborn Channel, and Bridgestone/ Firestone, Inc., today announced that they have entered into a sponsorship agreement for June 2001, National Safety Month. iVillage also announced the creation of Interquizzals, a new medium designed to enhance sponsors' reach to their target audiences. Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., is the first customer for this new iVillage service.
    Under the sponsorship agreement, Bridgestone/Firestone and TireSafety.com will sponsor a tire safety section on iVillage.com located at www.ivillage.com/tiresafety, which will include key information on proper tire maintenance and important safety tips. In addition, an online interactive quiz, located at www.ivillage.com/carseatquiz, will test adults' knowledge of car seats and is designed to help in understanding their proper use.

    The new iVillage Interquizzal service offering provides quiz sponsors with an additional way to extend their brand and reach their target audience. While results are being calculated for the online quizzes, a large pop-up window with a sponsor's message/advertisement is displayed on screen. The window closes automatically when the quiz results are finalized. The Interquizzal sponsorship system is now available to run on all iVillage quizzes and other interactive applications.

    In addition to the Interquizzal, pop-up and banner advertisements as well as text tag lines directing iVillage visitors to Bridgestone/Firestone's tire safety Web site, TireSafety.com, will run on a rotational basis on the iVillage Network. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
