Telelogic Introduces Integrated Open Software Lifecycle Solutions

    SAN FRANCISCO--June 5, 2001--

Software Development Tool Company Dominating Real-time Market Expands North American Operations

JavaOne Conference -- Telelogic (Stockholm Stock Exchange:TLOG), a leading global provider of solutions for advanced software and systems development, has created the industry's first open, best-of-class software development lifecycle solutions.
The acquisitions of three U.S.-based companies late last year enabled the company to expand its presence in North America by more than 500 percent in its employee base and to introduce its vision of combining best-of-class products that cover the full software development lifecycle process.
In August of 2000 Telelogic acquired QSS Inc, the global market-leader for requirements management, and in December of 2000 acquired both Continuus Software Corp., a leading provider of change and configuration management (CCM), and ATA Inc., a provider of project documentation and reporting tools. The acquisitions complement and strengthen Telelogic's position as the leading global provider of solutions for advanced software and systems development.

Flagship Products Built on Open Standards

Telelogic's product lines -- Telelogic DOORS, Tau and Synergy -- enable customers to meet the overall development challenges of control and automation. Software is a critical asset in solutions designed to meet the global demands of today's connected world. All of Telelogic's products are built on an open architecture that ensures interoperability with many of the leading third-party solutions available today.
"We see the automation of software life cycle phases -- including requirements management with modeling and software change and configuration management -- to be key for our G2000 client base as they attempt to deal with the complexities of software development and the implementation and customization of purchased software, such as CRM, ERP, etc.," said Melinda Ballou, senior research analyst, META Group. "We're seeing a number of initiatives evolve in response to this critical market need."

New Opportunities in Advanced Software Development

These recent acquisitions create the first integrated, open best-of-class software development lifecycle solutions. Establishing a North American presence will secure a base to provide Telelogic solutions for companies developing advanced software and systems throughout the Americas.
"In Q1 of 2001, compared with the corresponding period in 2000, revenue growth increased by 266 percent, including the effects of the acquisitions late last year," said Anders Lidbeck, president and chief executive officer, Telelogic. "The underlying and long-term demand for Telelogic's solutions for advanced software development continues to be strong and clear. The decisive factors for this are the company's leading positions in markets where success depends on advanced software solutions. We foresee strong demand for Telelogic's open, best-of-class solutions that dramatically improves time-to-market, quality and enables more predictable delivery of software and systems."
