Synapz to Provide Stanley Electric with Web-Based
Procurement, Services
NORTHVILLE, Mich., June 5 Synapz, a leading e-commerce
solutions provider, has recently signed a new agreement to provide its Eclipz
product to London, Ohio-based Stanley Electric, a $2 billion global
manufacturer of automotive lighting. Terms of the agreement were not
disclosed. This agreement brings the total number of contracts for the
company's Eclipz product to nine, since the first quarter of 2001.
Synapz's Eclipz -- a Web-based materials procurement and fulfillment
system -- will also be made available to Stanley Electric's direct and
indirect suppliers.

Eclipz is a technology that enables automotive suppliers to extend and
manage the flow of data between thousands of supplier companies in an
affordable, easy and virtually risk-free manner. It revolutionizes the
extremely complex process of data exchange and order fulfillment for
automotive suppliers and their sub-tier suppliers by handling all demand-
ordering applications for direct and indirect materials. Eclipz allows a
supplier to receive orders, confirm shipments and send orders to suppliers via
the Internet directly from the customers' procurement or inventory system.
It also offers a number of integrated applications that include bar coding, e-
mail notification of customer requirements and a supplier gateway to link an
Enterprise Resource Planning and Materials Resource Planning (ERP/MRP)
application.
Stanley Electric provides external lighting devices such as headlamps and
taillights, and internal lighting devices using LEDs, LCDs, CFLs, SFLs and
