Petrie, Hawkins Capture Top Sales Honors at Kenworth's World's Best Meeting
KIRKLAND, Wash., June 4, 2001 - Colin Petrie of Bay Area Kenworth in
Oakland, Calif. and Jim Hawkins of MHC Kenworth in Kansas City, Mo. captured
top honors at Kenworth Truck Company's fifth annual World's Best sales
meeting this past weekend in Indianapolis.
Petrie was named Kenworth's Salesman of the Year for the second consecutive
year. He sold 637 new Kenworth trucks during 2000. Hawkins was selected
Kenworth's Medium Duty Salesman of the Year for selling 101 Kenworth T300s
last year. It was the fourth consecutive year that Hawkins has won the
award.
Regional sales awards winners were also recognized at the meeting.
Winners for highest percentage of sales quota are:
Canada: Dale Brekkas, GreatWest Kenworth; Central: Ralph Campbell, MHC
Kenworth-Oklahoma City; Northeast: Fred Brutsche, Liberty Kenworth;
Southeast: Bryan Harland, Kenworth of Birmingham; and West: Keith McKenzie,
Trebar Kenworth.
Winners for highest unit achievement are:
Canada: Norm Gossett, GreatWest Kenworth; Central: Bob Bowden; MHC Kenworth
- Dallas; Northeast: Fred Brutsche, Liberty Kenworth; Southeast: Skip
Parsons, South Florida Kenworth; and West: Colin Petrie, Bay Area Kenworth.
"Kenworth's World's Best meeting honors all those truck salespeople who have
achieved by providing outstanding service and support to Kenworth
customers," said Tony McQuary, Kenworth assistant general for sales and
service.
The event -- for the Kenworth dealer network's top salespeople -- also
featured seminar sessions with information from key suppliers.
