Manheim Auctions Selects Cysive, Inc. to
Integrate and Deliver Car Auction Information
Cysive to Help World's Largest Auto Company
Build Standardized Communication Platform
RESTON, Va., June 4 Cysive, Inc., , a Web,
wireless and voice-activated software solutions builder, has been chosen by
Manheim Auctions to build an integrated platform for translating auction
content for the Web. The Cysive platform will allow full integration of
Manheim's central auction data repository with its Web sites and auction
service providers, creating a more efficient, seamless auction process. When
fully deployed, the Cysive platform will give Manheim a standard way to record
and share information about vehicles in real time among its auction sites in
the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, France, the United Kingdom, Australia
and New Zealand. The Cysive platform will also allow integration of other
applications with the data transfer foundation.
The standardized XML specifications used in the Cysive platform will give
the world's largest auto company the ability to exchange auto trade
information and provide related services. The use of a single application
server platform will allow Manheim and Cysive to work together to build out
additional network services as needed.
"This is a great opportunity for Cysive to show the strengths of its
technology in a very complex and demanding environment," said Nelson
Carbonell, Cysive president and chief executive officer. "This is just one
area in which we excel and we're excited to have the opportunity to help
expand the capabilities of the world's leading auto company."
"At Manheim Auctions, our business is helping dealers succeed," said
Manheim Vice President and Chief Information Officer Richard Deckard. "By
consistently developing new and better ways to serve our customers' unique
needs, we help our dealers grow and build for the future. The Cysive platform
gives our partners, customers and staff 24/7 access to information about all
aspects of our business, including autos, auctions and sales."
