WOODSIDE AND TEAM WALKER MOTORSPORTS
TAKE TOP FIVE IN A THREE-WIDE FINISH AT KANSAS

June 2, 2001 (North Hollywood, Calif.) - Sean Woodside, driver of the #45
Team Walker/Ron's Rear Ends/NAPA Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston West
Series, made a last minute sprint in today's inaugural Kansas "100" at
Kansas Speedway to take fifth place in a three-wide finish.

Woodside overtook second place from his fifteenth place starting position by
lap 44, and held the position for about ten laps. On lap 53, with Brendan
Gaughan coming up to pass him, Woodside's car got a little loose and he slid
back to eighth place.

Woodside ran in the back half of the top ten for most of the rest of the
race, until a green/white/checkered finish gave him the opportunity to make
his final all-out sprint.

Coming out of turn four and down the front straight, Woodside, Gaughan and
Mark Reed ran neck-in-neck toward the checkered flag, each anxious to finish
ahead of the other. Woodside got ahead of Reed just enough to cross the
start-finish line in fifth place. Gaughan finished in fourth place, just
barely ahead of Woodside.

"I told the team I'd give it all I had after that last restart," Woodside
said. "This was the inaugural race at Kansas, and we really wanted a good
finish."

Woodside continued, "The team did a great job on the car today. We were ok,
but not perfect, when we first got here. They made the right decisions and
it worked out great. This is our third top-five finish in a row on three
different kinds of tracks. We have definitely taken a turn for the better."

Woodside finished in third place in the last two Winston West events at
Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway's half-mile oval and Mazda Raceway at Laguna
Seca, Monterey, Calif.'s 2.238 road course.

Woodside left Kansas Speedway immediately after the race to fly to Irwindale
Speedway where he will compete in tonight's Super Late Model event.

The Kansas "100" will be televised tape delayed on Fox Sports Net, date and
time to be announced.
