FOUNTAIN, Colo. - The hit swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will play a concert for Indy Racing Northern Light Series fans at the Radisson Indy 200 at Pikes Peak International Raceway on June 17.

The concert is free with the price of admission to the Radisson Indy 200, the sixth of 13 events on the 2001 Indy Racing Northern Light Series schedule.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, a seven-man band based in Los Angeles, became a national phenomenon when their hit song "You and Me and the Bottle Makes Three Tonight (Baby)" was featured on the soundtrack for the 1996 motion picture "Swingers."

Their major label debut album, "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy," was released by Coolsville/Interscope Records in late 1998 and stayed on the album charts for more than a year. The band co-starred in the halftime shows for the Orange Bowl and Super Bowl XXXIII in January 1999, and their music has appeared on numerous network and cable television shows in recent years.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's light-hearted follow-up album, "This Beautiful Life," was released in October 1999. It features a cover of the song "I Wanna Be Like You" from Disney's 1966 motion picture "Jungle Book." It has been a regular on radio airplay since its release.

MBNA Pole qualifying for the Radisson Indy 200 is scheduled for June 16 at 3 p.m. (MDT). The 200-lap race will get underway at 2 p.m. (MDT) on June 17. Contact Pikes Peak International Raceway at (888) 306-7223 for event information.
