MID-OHIO'S 40TH YEAR OF RACING BEGINS WITH A
FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND

DUBLIN, Ohio (June 1, 2001) - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, located in
Lexington, Ohio, hosts its second annual Fan Appreciation Weekend during the
ConAgra Foods U.S. Road Racing Classic, June 8-10.

During this season opening event, spectators can enter to win a Pepsi Race
Fan Survival Kit, chance to wave the green flag to start one of the
weekend's races, trackside VIP lunch, pace car rides or a seat in the
announcer's booth overlooking the notorious "esses." All fans are invited
to participate in a Grand-Am driver fan forum and autograph session on
Saturday, June 9.

"It is the first race of our busiest season in 40 years of racing at the
track, and we want to create the best atmosphere possible for the fans to
kick off an exciting race season," Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course President
Michelle Trueman Gajoch said. "Race fans will have the opportunity to win a
once in a lifetime race experience at the ConAgra Foods U.S. Road Racing
Classic."

The racing action is sanctioned by the Grand American Rolex Sports Car
Series featuring SportsRacing Prototype, SportsRacing Prototype II, GTS, GT
and American GT classes. Additionally, on the racing schedule are Grand-Am
Cup, U.S. F2000, SCCA Pro Spec Racer Series and the American City Racing
League.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was built with the premise to showcase the finest
in American sports car racing. The ConAgra Foods U.S. Road Racing Classic
will retrace these roots. The weekend features an array of sports car action
including exotic, open-cockpit prototypes, Corvettes, Ferraris, Porsches,
Vipers, and "muscle cars" like Camaros and Mustangs.
