                   -- Pre-registration deadline is June 15 --

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- At the American Motorcyclist Association, final

preparations are underway for the first annual AMA Crossroads Rally, to be held

July 16 - 19, 2001 in Ashland, Ohio.

Between now and the rally's opening day, the AMA will publish regular

updates on its website. Riders can get the latest information on the AMA

Crossroads Rally at http://www.AMADirectlink.com/crossroads/crrally.htm.

Set in north central Ohio, close to Amish country, Lake Erie and the

Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, the AMA Crossroads Rally is sandwiched between

two premier motorcycling events: the July 13-15 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at

nearby Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, and the July 20-22 round of the

AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Superbike Championship, also at Mid-Ohio. The AMA

Crossroads Rally will be based at the Ashland County Fairgrounds, just 20 miles

from the racetrack.

The AMA Crossroads Rally will feature guided and self-guided rides, tours

of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, a vendor midway, a full slate of

seminars, town-hall meetings with AMA officials, and more. Registration fees are

$45 for AMA members and $50 for non-members. After June 15th, costs will rise to

$50 and $55. Tent camping is $15 for the duration of the rally, and RV parking

can be reserved for $50. Secure registration is available online at
