SEMA's Consumer Website Will Award Cool Auto Accessories As Prizes for the
Best Stories About Your Dad and His Car
DIAMOND BAR, CA - Enjoythedrive.com has announced an online Father's Day
Story Contest. The consumer website, which is produced by the Specialty
Equipment Market Association (SEMA), is looking for funny, touching and
nostalgic stories about your dad and his car (or truck or van).
"Were your family vacations like a scene from a National Lampoon movie? Did
your dad suddenly turn into Mario Andretti or Richard Petty whenever you
were late for school? Or has your dad had any funny fiascos while working
on cars? We want to hear all kinds of great stories about your dad and his
car," says Sue Elliott-Sink, director of content for enjoythedrive.com.
Enjoythedrive.com will begin accepting story submissions on Monday, May 14,
2001. Final entries must be submitted by midnight on Father¹s Day, June 17,
2001. Winners will be posted on enjoythedrive.com the following Wednesday,
June 20, 2001. Enjoythedrive.com also will post several of the best stories
each week during the contest.
The Top 10 winners in the Father's Day Story Contest will be able to choose
from a variety of cool custom auto accessories as prizes. The prizes include:
A wireless headphone system
A set of four premium, Italian-made wheels
A gift certificate good for one aircraft-quality exhaust product, including
a cat-back exhaust system or a muffler
A hitch-mount picnic table
A gift certificate for a driver and passenger to attend a 4WD Training
Outing
In addition, each winner also will receive an Automotive First Aid Kit.
