Consulier Engineering Accepts $1,750,000.00 Settlement

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.--May 31, 2001--Consulier Engineering, Inc. has accepted $1,750,000.00 to settle the claim of its wholly owned subsidiary, Southeast Automotive Acquisition Corp. against American States Insurance Company relating to damage to its auto parts and CRA-Z Soap inventories caused by Hurricane Irene.
Since the October 1999 catastrophic loss, Consulier has taken over distribution and sales of CRA-Z Soap from Southeast and has begun to revitalize its marketing efforts. Southeast has replaced its inventory of damaged auto parts with funding from Consulier and continues to warehouse and provide shipping services for Consulier's products.
First quarter sales of Captain CRA-Z(TM) Soap were just under $100,000.00 as distribution of the replacement inventory of soap got under way, including a recently announced strategic alliance with Veridien Corp. (OTCBB:VRDE) to launch Captain CRA-Z(TM) Soap to National and Regional retailers and major distributors.
With the infusion of funds received in compensation for the casualty loss, the Company expects to achieve sales of $100,000.00 per month later this year. To achieve these sales, the Company has appointed Bob Kurlander as Director of Marketing and adopted the new trademark Captain CRA-Z(TM) Soap and has developed revised packaging and marketing materials designed to appeal to retail customers and mass merchants, as well as commercial and industrial users.
Captain CRA-Z(TM) Soap is the official hand cleaner for the Grand Am Racing Series. The Company sponsors the Mosler MT900 Race Car which earned the pole position in its class in the 2001 Daytona 24-Hour Race. Statistics confirm that automobile racing is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and the Company feels that the exposure for its Captain CRA-Z(TM) Soap received from its sponsorship of the Grand Am Racing Series and the MT900 will increase brand recognition and sales at all levels of distribution.
