Mitsubishi Honors Retailers With Diamond Chapter of Excellence Awards

         Retailers Earn High Marks in Sales, Service and Satisfaction

    CYPRESS, Calif., May 31 Earning customer loyalty is the
overarching goal for Mitsubishi Motors retailers.  To recognize outstanding
retailers, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. (MMSA) announces its 2001
Diamond Chapter of Excellence Awards.

    These prestigious awards are given annually to outstanding retailers who
achieve high rankings in sales, service and parts operations through customer-
friendly retail practices.  Membership in the Diamond Chapter of Excellence
Society is based on measurable success factors such as high customer
satisfaction -- including J.D. Power and Associates consumer satisfaction
survey benchmarks.

    "The Diamond Chapter of Excellence Society encourages all dealership
personnel to be top performers in every aspect of the sales experience," said
Greg O'Neill, MMSA senior vice president and general sales manager.  "These
