Nobuhiko Kawamoto to Address Ricardo
International Conference In Brighton, England on June

BELLEVILLE, Mich., May 29 Nobuhiko Kawamoto, KBE, former
president and current board member of the Honda Motor Company, heads a list of
leading automotive industry experts who will address delegates at this year's
Ricardo International Conference, to be held in Brighton, England at the
Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel on June 12-13.
Sir Kawamoto's keynote address will formally begin the two-day conference
under the general theme of "Vehicle Systems Integration in the Wired World."
The conference will look at the technological and engineering challenges
facing the automotive product development sector arising from current market
drivers. Four technical sessions, respectively, will focus upon: the drive
for globalization; the drive for the virtual powertrain and vehicle; the drive
for systems engineering and supply; and the drive for control and electronics.
The conference is for senior engineers, managers and directors involved in
the specification, design, development and systems engineering of new
powertrain and related vehicle products, systems and technologies. A
conference dinner on the evening of June 13 includes an after dinner speech
from Dr. Jonathan Palmer, a retired motor racing champion in Formula 3, 2 and
1 and test driver for the McLaren Team, who also was involved with the
development of much of the team's latest technology.
