Visteon and Dow Automotive Team Up to Improve Vehicle Efficiency

DEARBORN, Mich., May 29 Visteon Corporation
announced today a joint development agreement with Dow Automotive, a business
unit of The Dow Chemical Company.

Visteon and Dow will work together to develop advanced products for
insulated windows, interior trim parts and body panels to improve interior
temperature control efficiency, while reducing vehicle interior noise and
vehicle weight.

"We're excited about our agreement with Dow and the benefits it will bring
to our customers," said Steve Davis, Visteon's Director of Climate Systems
Engineering Product Development Center. "Together we have an increased
capability to improve driver comfort and convenience, while improving fuel
economy and reducing emissions."

As a test bed, Visteon and Dow will develop and apply an entire vehicle
system solution to a production test vehicle by combining Visteon's integrated
systems expertise with industry leading analytical tools and Dow's expertise
in insulated windows and (foam-in-place) body insulation. This technology is
an entire vehicle system solution that reduces the amount of power required to
heat and cool a vehicle.

"Our agreement with Visteon will be a win-win situation for everyone,"
said Gary Lawrey, Vice President of Automotive Systems for Dow Automotive.
"Not only will our areas of expertise complement each other, they will allow
us to provide our customers with industry-leading technology."
