This was the teams first visit to the facility since October of last year. Brian stated before the race, ³It has been awhile since the last time we were here, but this is where we ran a lot of races in the Legacy Cars and late models. We have a lot of fans and friends here and everyone misses coming weekly,² stated Vickers. Vickers qualified the #42v Stewart Components Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the fourth position. Brian circled the .363-mile facility in 15.484 seconds at an average speed of 84.397 mph. ³We had a pretty good car in practice and felt we would be able to qualify good as well. We wound up fourth. The car got loose up off the corner so I probably left a tenth or two out there. We setup for the race though. We should be pretty good in the long run,² quoted Brian after qualifying. ³The car was good at the start of the race, but got real loose. We made our pit stop early and that hurt our tires at the end of the race,² Vickers continued, ³We made an adjustment during our pit stop. Dean (Crew Chief Dean Johnson) and I decided to pull two spring rubbers. The guys did a real good job and had a quick stop even with the adjustment.² ³Lap traffic was really tough tonight. Some of the guys were several laps down, but kept trying to race among the leaders. The officials normally do a good job to police it, I just don¹t think it gets through to some of the drivers. Racing lap traffic definitely hurt us. Everyone was having to run so hard and that wore out the right front tire. At the end, we really didn¹t have anything left for Bobby (race winner Bobby Gill) and Hal (second place finisher Hal Goodson). We had a real good race going on with Lee (Tissot) and Mart (Nesbitt). I think we gave the fans something to cheer about. We will go get them next week at IRP.² Brian stated in the post race press conference. The Naturally Fresh Dressings 250 presented by Galaxy Foods will be broadcast on Speedvision Thursday, May 31st at 9:00pm. Brian and the BLV Motorsports crew will be back in action on Saturday, June 2nd at Indianapolis Raceway Park in Clermont, IN for the Naturally Fresh Dressings 200 presented by Lucas Oil Products.
