Hayes Lemmerz Announces Recent ISO 14001 Registrations

    NORTHVILLE, Mich., May 25 Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , a leading global supplier to the automotive and commercial
highway industries, today announced an additional five facilities that have
received ISO 14001 registration.  As a result, the Company now has 17
manufacturing facilities worldwide which have achieved this distinction.

    The five recently registered Hayes Lemmerz facilities include:
    * Howell, MI - North American Cast Aluminum Wheels
    * Southfield, MI - North American Suspension Components
    * Wabash, IN - North American Powertrain Components
    * Nuevo Laredo, Mexico - Powertrain Components
    * Barcelona, Spain - European Cast Aluminum Wheels

is an international standard that specifies requirements for organizations'
environmental management systems, established by the International
