Automotive Manufacturers Get a Second and Third Look at Pilgrim Software's New Web-based APQP Solution

TAMPA, Fla.--May 25, 2001--Building on the success of its first Web-based APQP Workshops held in April, Pilgrim Software has announced that it will continue the series with two additional workshop dates: May 30 - June 1 and June 20 - 22, 2001. The free half-day workshops will be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Novi, Michigan.
At the first workshops, Pilgrim unveiled Automotive Focus, its new web-based APQP software, to the automotive industry. That event brought in more than 100 automotive OEMs and suppliers. In response to demand and feedback generated by the first workshops, Pilgrim has decided to extend the series to give the automotive community another look at its Automotive Focus software and to capture the attention of executives who were unable to attend the first workshops.
"Automotive Focus is the first fully web-based APQP solution to be implemented in a major automotive OEM," said Chris Parsons, Pilgrim's Director of Marketing. "Automotive Focus is without a doubt the most advanced collaborative APQP system available and is setting the standard for the industry."
Pilgrim's Automotive Focus was designed to assist the automotive manufacturing community with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. APQP is used to ensure that customer needs and quality requirements are fulfilled during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Automotive Focus streamlines key points in the APQP process and enables collaboration between design and quality teams, other employees, customers, and suppliers. The product addresses the APQP requirements within the four walls of a company, and can also be configured as a private exchange to collaborate with the suppliers and customers to significantly improve the APQP process.
Pilgrim's APQP workshops are designed for decision-makers in automotive OEMs and tier one and two suppliers. The workshops will be divided into two sessions daily. Attendees have the option of choosing the day and session they would like to attend. Registration is open to the members of the automotive manufacturing community. There is no charge for attendance.
