Bel Promotes Dennis Ackerman to Vice President; Daniel Bernstein Named Chief Executive Officer; Joseph Meccariello Named Managing Director

    JERSEY CITY, N.J.--May 25, 2001--

Wong Chiu Kan and Tso Yiu Kwan Appointed Directors of Bel Fuse, Ltd.

    Bel Fuse Inc. announced today that it has promoted Dennis Ackerman to vice president of Bel Fuse Inc.
    Dennis Ackerman, 38, was most recently Bel's U.S. operations manager. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility, including customer service manager and purchasing manager, since joining the company in 1986. He recently coordinated the transition for Bel's acquisition of Lucent's signal transformer product line. Ackerman holds a master's of business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
    The company also announced that Bel President Daniel Bernstein will assume the responsibilities of chief executive officer. Bernstein joined Bel in 1978 and has served as president since 1992. In 1985 he was named vice president, and in 1986 treasurer, and has served as a director since 1986.
    Bel also announced that its Hong Kong subsidiary, Bel Fuse Ltd., has appointed Joseph Meccariello to managing director. Meccariello joined the company in 1979, transferred to Hong Kong in 1990, and is currently Bel Fuse Inc. vice president of manufacturing.
    Bel Fuse Ltd. also announced the appointment of two new directors. Wong Chiu Kan, currently in charge of all Bel's fuse operations, has held a variety of manufacturing positions in more than 25 years of service to the company. Also appointed director was Tso Yiu Kwan, a graduate of the University of Macau, who oversees all China magnetic operations and has more than 25 years of production control and manufacturing experience with Bel.
