Ford Selects SOFY(R) Technologies
TROY, Mich., May 24 SOFY Technologies today announced
their selection by Ford Motor Company to provide products to serve as the
centerpiece for two critical components in Ford's Computer Aided Engineering
(CAE) process.
In the first initiative Ford engineers will utilize SOFY Technologies'
Morphing Module to quickly modify a legacy design/CAE model. These legacy
designs can be used as a basis for a new design or as the starting point for a
series of "what-if" simulations to improve the current designs of a wide
variety of transportation products.
The second initiative is the adoption of SOFY Technologies' Rapid
Application Development Environment (RADE) to serve as the foundation for
intelligent CAE modeling processes for both Safety and NVH (noise, vibration
and harshness) characteristics. This new environment will enable Ford's
engineers and process designers to meet new requirements and to quickly adapt
to new technology in the design and engineering of Ford's future
transportation products.
