INA Selects i2 to Standardize its Supply Chain Management Solutions Globally; i2 TradeMatrix Solutions to be Implemented in all INA Divisions in 37 Manufacturing Plants Worldwide

    BARCELONA & MUNICH, Germany--May 23, 2001-- PLANET2001--i2 Technologies , the leading provider of supply chain management and marketplace solutions, today announced that INA Waelzlager Schaeffler oHG (INA), a leading manufacturer of rolling and plain bearings, linear systems and engine components for the automotive industry, has selected i2 to optimize its supply chain operations in all INA divisions.
    The contract includes licenses for i2 TradeMatrix(TM) modules and services. IBM has been selected as the implementation partner for the project.
    INA selected i2 Supply Chain Management (SCM) Solutions(TM) and i2 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions(TM) to improve asset utilization, reduce inventories and optimize customer service. Products selected include i2 TradeMatrix Factory Planner(TM), Demand Planner(TM), Supply Chain Planner(TM) and Demand Fulfillment(TM).
    In addition, INA chose to implement on the i2 TradeMatrix Platform(TM), which is designed to enable INA to integrate i2 SCM with existing Transaction Management systems like SAP R3 and other legacy systems.

    Supported by implementation partner IBM, i2 will use industry-specific templates that draw upon i2's domain expertise to guide the entire implementation process. The solutions will first be implemented in the engine components division and then rolled out over all divisions and plants worldwide.
