AIAG's AUTO-TECH 2001 Conference &
Exhibition To Help Companies Improve Productivity, Quality
and Competitiveness
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 23 To help vehicle manufacturer and
supplier executives learn about industry best practices -- which can improve
productivity, boost quality and enhance competitiveness in the global
marketplace -- the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) will host its
annual AUTO-TECH Conference & Exhibition from Aug. 28-30, 2001 at Detroit's
Cobo Center.

The three-day AUTO-TECH Conference & Exhibition offers attendees more than
120 educational sessions, top-rated speakers and a hands-on exhibit setting.
Last year, more than 4,000 industry professionals attended the event.

(ANX(R)) service and telecommunications, automatic identification and bar
coding, customs and regulatory reporting, electronic commerce and electronic

In addition, more than 150 exhibitors will showcase the industry's latest
productivity-boosting technologies and approaches related to electronic
commerce and EDI, materials management, telecommunications, occupational
health and safety, automatic identification and bar coding, customs and
regulatory reporting, quality, engineering and product data exchange and
packaging and returnable containers.

* The AIAG Outstanding Achievement Awards Dinner -- being held Wednesday,
Aug. 29 at 6:15 p.m. -- with speaker Richard E. Dauch, co-founder, chairman &
