American Standard to Discuss Importance of European Markets; Chairman Fred Poses Will Speak at Merrill Lynch Global Industries Conference Today

    PISCATAWAY, N.J., May 23 Fred Poses, chairman and CEO of
American Standard Companies Inc. ,  will be a featured presenter at
the Merrill Lynch Global Industries Conference in London today.  Poses will
discuss the importance of European markets in American Standard's global
strategy for its air conditioning, plumbing and vehicle control systems
businesses.

end of its forecasted 13-17 percent range for the full year.
