American Standard to Highlight E-Business
Strategy Success
Chairman Fred Poses Will Speak At
Bear Stearns Industrial Internet Conference Today
PISCATAWAY, N.J., May 21 Fred Poses, chairman and CEO of
American Standard Companies Inc. , will be a featured presenter at
Bear Stearns Industrial Internet Conference in Boston today. Poses will
discuss how American Standard uses its e-business strategy to extend its
relationships with suppliers, dealers and distributors through to end
consumers, while lowering costs and improving customer service and
satisfaction.
"Our e-business strategy, coupled with our strong brands and market
positions, is driving speed, efficiency and profitability for us, our
suppliers and our customers," says Poses. "For example, the 1,400 dealers
using our Trane ComfortSite(TM) can now place orders five times faster, and we
can now process extended warranty sales in minutes rather than days, speeding
dealer cash flow. The right e-business model can improve everyone's
business."
Poses will provide additional information on American Standard's
e-business strategy including efforts under way in its plumbing and vehicle
control systems businesses. He also will discuss the company's financial
performance goals, and reaffirm that the company expects to achieve earnings
growth at the low end of its forecasted 13-17 percent range for the full year.
An audio stream of Poses' presentation from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. EDT is
available on Bear Stearns Worldwide Web site at

will be available on the American Standard Web site at
