May 20, 2001TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
(ON THE START OF THE WINSTON) "I've never spun the tires that hard before here on the start. We got down to [turn] one and we didn't have as much momentum as most of those guys did. Everybody went in there and just started sliding up the racetrack. I'm just glad we kept ours off the wall. "Actually, spinning my tires helped me a bunch. Otherwise we probably would have been right in the middle of that deal. Who knows?"
