SCCA: Kleinubing nips Pfeffer for Mosport Speedvision Touring pole

CANADA - Brazilian Pierre Kleinubing captured his second-straight Superchips Pole position in SCCA Pro Racing Speedvision World Challenge Touring Car competition and will start first in this afternoon's Round Three race at Mosport International Raceway.

Driving the No. 1 RealTime Racing Acura Integra Type R, defending series Champion and race winner Kleinubing turned a lap of 1:35.096 (93.089 mph)-just 0.026-second ahead of season point leader Pfeffer's No. 26 John Hancock/JJ's Snacks BMW 328is, who set a quick time of 1:35.122 (93.063 mph).

Kleinubing's RealTime Racing teammate Hugh Plumb, of Chadds Ford, Pa., will start third, followed by Don Salama, of Avon, Conn., and Terry McCarthy, of Mountain View, Calif.
