USFreightways to Host Mid-Quarter Conference Call

    CHICAGO--May 18, 2001--USFreightways Corporation (NASDAQ USFC) will host a mid-quarter conference call on Friday, June 1st at 10:00am Central Time. The call is an effort to enhance communication with analysts and provide guidance on the ongoing quarter within the guidelines of Regulation FD.
