    Atlanta Patient Joins More Than 1.25 Million Women Now Screened
    For Breast Cancer By A Computer Aided Detection System

    After two close friends were diagnosed with breast cancer and with her own family history of the disease, Lisa Kelley, 39, decided to increase the frequency of her mammograms to every six months. As part of her scheduled appointment at Diagnostic Radiology Ultrasound and Breast Center in Atlanta, her routine screening mammogram films were run through a computer aided detection (CAD) system called the ImageChecker(R) from R2 Technology, Inc., which had just been installed that day. The radiologist and the ImageChecker system detected a suspicious area in Kelley's right breast and the subsequent biopsy results indicated Stage I breast cancer.

    B/E Aerospace's Overhead Crew Rest Wins FAA Certification
