New NSC Safetyworks* Program from National Safety Council
Itasca, Ill. - The National Safety Council (NSC) has introduced NSC Safetyworks*,
a packaged training system to help companies develop, implement and evaluate a
comprehensive safety or ergonomics program. This step-by-step system for safety
and compliance contains instructions that explain the materials and show how to
use the system. There are 25 topics to choose from, ranging from Accident
Investigation and Back Injury Prevention to Safety Program Management and
Workers* Compensation Management.
A *How To* section provides consistent, user-friendly instructions for
meeting OSHA standards or steps for establishing best safety practices for non-
compliance topics. A written program -- an important part of OSHA compliance
requirements -- comes complete with a set of recordkeeping forms. Scripted
training leads through a successful training session. It provides training tips,
a glossary of terms and includes tools such as an instructor guide, learning
exercises, award-winning videos and employee handbooks.
