Bosch Honored With Circle of Excellence
Award
SOUTH BEND, Ind., May 17 The Indiana Regional Minority
Supplier Development Council (IRMSDC) awarded Robert Bosch Corporation the
"Circle of Excellence" award for its support of minority-owned suppliers.
The "Circle of Excellence" awards are presented annually at the Indiana
Opportunity Business Fair. The winning organizations are nominated by the
Minority Business Enterprises from various Indiana districts. Donald E.
Jones, executive director, IRMSDC and Nagin Shah, director, Impex
International Incorporated, presented the Northern district award to Susan
Smith, Bosch senior buyer and minority supplier coordinator.
"Bosch is proud to be a prominent supporter of minority business
development," said Smith. "We make a concerted effort to utilize and maintain
relationships with minority-owned businesses within Indiana."
Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems
sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems
and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, ABS and
conventional braking systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical
and electronic equipment.
Robert Bosch Corporation, the wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch
GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, is responsible for North American
operations.
