AutoZone to Release Third Quarter Earnings on May 23

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 16 AutoZone, Inc. will
release final results for the third quarter ended May 5, 2001, after market
close on Wednesday, May 23, 2001, one day earlier than previously announced.
Steve Odland, chairman and chief executive officer, will host a one hour
conference call on Thursday, May 24, 2001, beginning at 9 a.m. (EDT), to
discuss the results of the quarter.
