Johnson Controls Appoints Bill Rogers To Information
Technology Leadership Post
PLYMOUTH, Mich., May 15 Automotive interior supplier
Johnson Controls has named Bill Rogers vice president of
Information Technology and E-business for the company's Automotive Systems
Group.
In his new position, Rogers is responsible for leading and coordinating
the Information Technology and E-business initiatives for the firm's
automotive division, and has regional responsibility for North America. He
will be based at Johnson Controls' Plymouth, Michigan technical center.

that focus on the intersection of collaborative value chain practices and
Internet technologies," said Mike Suman, group vice president of electronic
commerce and marketing for Johnson Controls. "Pushing the envelope and going
to the next level of collaborative commerce takes confidence, courage, and
competence. Bill's information technology knowledge and experience will help
us accelerate our business model transformation and provide an effective,
web-based systems platform to ensure Johnson Controls' continued
profitability."
For the past two years, Rogers served as lead account manager,
E-business and consulting services at Computer Sciences Corporation, directing
the firm's DuPont account. From 1997 to 1999, he was senior manager for the
Information Strategy Practice and Advanced Technologies Group at Deloitte and
Touche. He has significant experience in the automotive industry. At
AlliedSignal, Rogers served for 12 years as the company's director of
operations, information technology and manufacturing.
Rogers holds a master's degree in business administration from Central
Michigan University and a bachelor's degree in information systems management/
computer science from the University of Maryland.
Rogers has relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife and their two
children.
The Plymouth, Michigan (U.S.A.)-based automotive business of Johnson

-- achieved US$12.7 billion in sales for the 2000 fiscal year. In model-year
