Simula Inc. Names John A. Jenson Corporate Controller
PHOENIX--May 10, 2001--Simula, Inc. (AMEX: SMU) announced today that John A. Jenson will assume the newly defined position of Corporate Controller effective immediately. From January 1999 to the present, Jenson has acted as Director of Finance and Administration for Simula Automotive Safety Devices, Inc., the Company's automotive safety systems subsidiary. Jenson joined Simula Automotive Safety Devices, Inc. in October 1996 as Finance Manager and has been an integral part of the management team that made the automotive group among the most successful and profitable of Simula's business units.Prior to joining Simula, Jenson served in finance roles in the retail and insurance industries. Jenson is a CPA and received his Bachelors of Science in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University. From December 1985 to October 1991 he was employed with the national accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche, LLP.
"John will play an important role in this newly defined position to ensure budgetary controls and discipline, rationalization of our various business units' accounting and ERP systems, and review of potential consolidation of service groups across the Company," said Simula President and CEO, Brad Forst.
