ETCHELLS RACING TO UNVEIL TWO NEW PAINT SCHEMES IN ENGLISHTOWN

Putnam, Connecticut, May 8, 2001 - The Etchells Racing team will be sporting
an entirely new look at the upcoming Matco Tools Supernationals, as both
Chuck Etchells and Jim Epler will be debuting new paint schemes. Etchells'
2001-styled Sunoco/Matco Tools Camaro Z28 will carry a new blue and yellow
design reflecting Sunoco's recently announced primary sponsorship, while
Epler's Racing Champions/Matco Tools Camaro will become a 300-mph rainbow
featuring the familiar logo of toy store giant Toys R Us.

For team owner Etchells, the New Jersey event will mark a return to full-time
competition after a two-race stint in which the Putnam, CT native attempted
only one qualifying pass per event. Etchells sees the change in appearance
as part of a new beginning for his race team, both on and off the track.

"We're approaching Englishtown as the start of our season," explained
Etchells. "We're going to put the events from the last few months behind us
and focus on the many great opportunities available to us as we move forward.
While our performance so far has not been at the level we wanted, I feel
confident we will be back on track very quickly. There are a lot of races
left this year, and this Sunoco/Matco team wants to win our share."

With a portrait of Toy R Us mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe prominently displayed
on his racecar's nose, Jim Epler will be showcasing his fourth different
paint scheme this year. Although this is but one of 12 different designs the
Epler-driven entry shall display during the remainder of the 2001 Winston
Drag Racing season, the appeal of this particular car is one that has the
Phoenix, AZ native excited as he heads to the Garden State.

"Etchells Racing will have a lot of good things happening in Englishtown,
including getting our full two-car team back" stated Epler. "But I'm really
excited by our Toys R Us paint scheme. It's a great looking car and I like
how it appeals to children. I enjoy dealing with kids, and know how
important they are to the NHRA - after all, they are the future of our sport.
With two girls of my own, I've personally spent a lot of money with Toys R
Us, and I'm looking forward to seeing our car in their stores across the
country."

Fans wishing to watch the transformation of Epler's race car from the Motley
Crue theme it has displayed since Gainesville to the dramatic Toy R Us design
are invited to visit the painter's website at www.bodydynamicsracing.com,
where a webcam will monitor the progress. The camera can also be accessed
through the Etchells Racing website, www.etchellsracing.com, as well as the
NHRA's official site, www.nhra.com.
