WIX Filters Adds Robert Yates Racing to NASCAR Sponsorships

    GASTONIA, N.C., May 10 WIX Filters, a leading manufacturer
and distributor of filtration products and the Officially Licensed filter of
the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), has added 1999
NASCAR Winston Cup Champions Robert Yates Racing to its stable of product
sponsorships for 2001.

    Through the product sponsorship agreement, WIX becomes the filter of
choice for the Yates team, which fields Fords for 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup
Champion Dale Jarrett and series veteran Ricky Rudd.  WIX provides air, oil
and fuel filters for Jarrett's #88 UPS Taurus as well as Rudd's #28 Texaco
car.

    Jarrett and the Yates team have scored three race victories in the first
11 NASCAR Winston Cup Series events of the 2001 season and currently hold the
points lead in the race for the Winston Cup championship.

    Jarrett and Rudd have combined for a career total of 47 Winston Cup wins.
Four of Jarrett's victories helped propel the Yates team to the 1999 NASCAR
Winston Cup title.  The team also won the 2000 Daytona 500.

    WIX Filters is the filter of choice among teams in NASCAR's Winston Cup,
Busch Grand National and Craftsman Truck Series.  During the past two seasons,
902 of the 1,240 top-five finishers in each series used WIX filters.

    WIX Filters serves as an associate sponsor of the defending Winston Cup
champion Joe Gibbs Racing team and its driver Bobby Labonte, and has product
