Encompass Awarded $30-Million Contract for Nissan Manufacturing Plant

    HOUSTON, May 10 Encompass Services Corporation
announced today that it has been awarded a contract worth more than
$30-million to provide mechanical services to a new Nissan Motor Company
manufacturing facility in Madison County, Mississippi.

    Encompass' Mechanical Services group is designing and installing heating,
ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing equipment for the $930-million,
2.6-million-square-foot plant that will produce a full-size pickup truck and
utility van.  Construction of the 250,000-unit plant began this month;
production of the first vehicle is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2003.
Encompass anticipates completing its portion of the work, awarded by general
contractor Yates-Wallbridge, within 14 months.

    "We are pleased to have been selected for this fast-track, high-profile
project for an end customer and general contractor with whom we have long-
term, valuable relationships," said Joe Ivey, Encompass president and chief
executive officer. "We continue to leverage our status as the nation's
largest facilities systems provider to secure significant contracts, as large
customers draw confidence from the range of services and expertise we provide
from project conception to completion."

    Encompass began working for Nissan in 1990 and has performed plumbing;
heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and process piping work for Nissan
facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee.
