Superior Industries Wins Aluminum Wheel Contract for the 2002Thunderbird

    VAN NUYS, Calif.--May 10, 2001--Superior Industries International, Inc. announced today that it will supply aluminum road wheels for the all-new 2002 Ford Thunderbird.
    "The 2002 Thunderbird is a highly visible and important program for Ford. We are honored that Ford has placed its confidence in Superior to supply aluminum wheels for this eagerly anticipated new model," a Superior spokesman said.
    Superior will manufacture three different styles of aluminum wheels for the Thunderbird, including two chrome-plated wheels. Production of the new T-Bird is scheduled to begin at Ford this month, with initial deliveries expected in the fall.
