Youngsters Can Expect Fun-Filled Celebration 2001

When the gates open at Martinsville Speedway on July 3 for Celebration 2001, the youngsters will have plenty to do before the music begins at 6:30 p.m. The Independence Day Celebration will begin at 4 p.m. on July 3 when the rides will open for youngsters. There will be no charge for the rides, which include Thomas The Train, the Giant Super Slide, the Way Out Swing, Crayola-Land Bounce, Survivor Obstacle Challenge, Pooh Bear Chase, Taxi Jet and Rain Room.

Beach music band Chairman of the Board will take the stage at 6:30 with the Charlie Daniels Band taking over at 8:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display.

There is no admission charge for any of the day’s activities.
