NASCAR WCUP: Jeff Gordon provides Mother's Day surpise to grateful fan

May 10, 2001HARRISBURG, N.C. - Jeff Gordon helped give Shirley Schoenberger a surprise Mother's Day present she won't soon forget.
As part of their "Mom's Dream Comes True" program, "Live with Regis and Kelly" asked viewers to send in letters describing why their mother is so special.
One of the letters chosen was from Jennifer Everett. Everett's dream was for her mother, Schoenberger, to meet Gordon because she is "...the world's biggest Jeff Gordon fan."
From the surprise of learning that she would meet her favorite driver to the actual meeting, Schoenberger's dream day will be detailed during a segment of "Live with Regis and Kelly" on Friday, May 11.
