GMAC and Syntel Sign Three-Year IT Services Agreement

TROY, Mich., May 9 Syntel , a global
applications outsourcing and e-Business solutions firm, announced today it has
signed a three-year, multi-million dollar information technology (IT) services
agreement with General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), a wholly-owned
subsidiary of General Motors. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The agreement calls for Syntel to provide a host of advanced technology
application development solutions for several business units of GMAC. Syntel
will support the client with both an on-site technical team as well as teams
working from Syntel's SEI CMM Level 5-assessed Global Development Center in
Mumbai, India.

"Our business is so dynamic that we needed an IT services provider with
deep business process experience in our marketspace as well as the ability to
execute advanced technology projects on a global scale. Syntel fit that bill
for GMAC," said Linda Taggart, group vice president and chief information
officer with GMAC. "They understand our business, our objectives, and how to
leverage technology toward providing us with enhanced speed, quality and
value."

"This is a great competitive win for Syntel," said Syntel Chairman and CEO
Bharat Desai. "GMAC appreciated the fact that our model is built on
delivering real-world technology solutions that generate business results. We
look forward to using our Global Delivery Service to provide GMAC with
unprecedented technical capabilities and overall speed and value."
