Hayes Lemmerz Dello Italy Operations Honored With Toyota Quality Award

    NORTHVILLE, Mich., May 9 Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc.
, a leading global supplier to the automotive and commercial
highway industries, announced today that its operations located in Dello,
Italy has received the distinctive Achievement in Quality Award for the year
2000 from Toyota U.K.  Representatives from Toyota presented the award.  Hayes
Lemmerz received the award for its contributions to product quality, on-time
delivery, marketing/communications and exceptional program management.
