3M Declares Quarterly Dividend

    ST. PAUL, Minn., May 8 3M today announced a
quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share, payable June 12 to shareholders of
record on May 18.  This is the 339th consecutive quarterly dividend on 3M
stock.
    As of March 31, the company had 395,914,198 common shares outstanding and
128,821 shareholders of record.
