R.L. Polk & Co. Hires Mike Gingell to Head Truck and Aftermarket Groups

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 8 Mike Gingell has been named
managing director of the truck and aftermarket teams at R.L. Polk & Co.  In
this position, Gingell will provide direction to the sales and customer
fulfillment teams in the development and sale of list, statistical and
consultative products.  The announcement was made by Stephen Polk, chairman
and CEO of the Polk organization.

    Prior to his appointment, Gingell held the position of national sales
executive at Donnelley Marketing.  He was responsible for developing the sales
strategy, product positioning and customer penetration plans for accounts in
the company's Midwest territory.
    Before joining Donnelley Marketing, Gingell had been with R.L. Polk & Co.
for seven years where he held numerous positions in Polk's transportation
business unit.  Gingell served as managing director of transportation programs
and account manager of direct marketing sales as well as account manager,
account executive and senior account representative on Polk's transportation
truck team.
    Gingell earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oakland
University and a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State
University.  He has one daughter and lives with his family in Orion Township,
Mich.
