Auto Industry Analyst Maryann Keller Joins Lee Auto Malls' Board of Directors
WESTBROOK, Maine--May 8, 2001--Shepard Lee, Chairman of the Board of the Lee Auto Malls, has announced that Maryann Keller has joined their board. Ms. Keller was chosen as one of the top three auto analysts on Wall Street for twelve consecutive years. Ms. Keller has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, New York University, Lehigh University and MIT, as well as having served in the 1980's as an advisor to MIT's Auto Program. She has been a frequent speaker before industry and auto dealer groups and was a columnist for AUTO TREND Magazine for more than six years, as well as having written a monthly column for AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY's Magazine for more than ten years. Keller was most recently President of priceline.com's Automotive Services division.Maryann Keller has appeared on numerous television and radio programs in the United States, Europe and Japan. She has appeared frequently on Wall Street Week, Charlie Rose, and Nightline and can be seen and heard regularly on Bloomberg, CNN and CNBC.
In 1989 Maryann's first book "Rude Awakening: The Rise Fall and Struggle to Recover at General Motors" was published and received the Columbia University prestigious Eccles prize book award. Her second book "Collision: GM, Toyota and Volkswagen and the Race to Own the Twenty first Century" was published by Doubleday in 1993.
In July of 1999, Maryann Keller changed careers and joined priceline.com as the president of its fledgling Auto Services division. She withdrew from that job in November of 2000 and now serves as the principal in her automotive consultancy firm, Maryann Keller and Associates.
