Jim Schroer to Announce Gold Cup Thunderfestival
Improvements at News Conference Today at 2 P.M. In the
Mayor's Conference Room
DETROIT, May 8 Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer; Spirit of
Detroit Thunderfestival Chairman Elliott Hall; DaimlerChrysler Executive Vice
President, Sales & Marketing Jim Schroer; Spirit of Detroit Thunderfestival
President Thomas McInnes, and Chrysler Jeep Superstores Association of
Southeastern Michigan President Mark Snethkamp will unveil an all-new Detroit
Thunderfestival today.
The Mayor and guests will introduce Thunderfestival improvements at a news
conference at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, in the Mayor's Conference Room, 11th
floor, Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
The Chrysler Jeep Detroit American Power Boat Association Gold Cup -- the
oldest and largest power boat races in America -- are set for July 12 to 15 on
the famous Detroit River course just above the Belle Isle Bridge.
In addition to the above speakers, guests will include race officials and
sponsors, racing boat drivers and Spirit of Detroit Association volunteers,
all available for interviews and photos.
