    GASTONIA, N.C., May 8 Cars that have won six of the first
11 NASCAR Winston Cup Series events of the 2001 season were equipped with WIX

    WIX-equipped cars have won seven of the new season's first 10 pole awards
as well, with drivers Bill Elliott (#9 Dodge Dealers Dodge), Jarrett, Mark
Martin (#6 Pfizer Ford), Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (#8 Budweiser Chevrolet), Stacy
Compton (#92 Kodiak Dodge) and Bobby Labonte (#18 Interstate Batteries
Pontiac) all posting fastest qualifying laps thus far this season.  Drivers
using WIX filters also hold 12 of the top 20 positions in the series points
standings.
    Cars using WIX filters are enjoying similar success in this season's
NASCAR Busch Grand National Series.  Three race winners, one pole winner and
five of the top 10 drivers in the series points standings have WIX filters
