BAE SYSTEMS Migrates 4,400 Users From Sherpa to Metaphase -- Avionics Group to Manage All Product Data With Metaphase Express Aerospace & Defense Solution --
CINCINNATI--May 8, 2001--SDRC today announced that BAE SYSTEMS Avionics, a defense electronics manufacturer, is migrating 4,400 users at its ten U.K. sites from Sherpa to SDRC's Metaphase(R) Express Aerospace & Defense solution.The program to replace the current Sherpa installation is viewed not only as a tool migration program but also as a platform for Process Improvement. The solution will integrate the data across the Avionics' preferred tools and will support the core Configuration and the entire Product Life-Cycle process.
